Member Benefits

Secondary membership means you are Primary elsewhere in the state of Illinois and must maintain that membership to stay Secondary with RAR. You would only pay Local dues to (RAAR), as your state and national dues are paid via your Primary Association. This membership type provides membership with the MLS and the Association. The Application cost and quarterly fee is the same; however the dues paid would only be LOCAL dues, as the state and national dues are paid via your primary Association.

Office Application Fee: $1,000.00
Broker Application Fee: $500.00

Quarterly Fee for MLS/Association Services: $175.00/quarter (pro-rated based upon application date. (Due on or before the 1st of each quarter (January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1))

Yearly Dues (Local only) $100.00 for 2019 (pro-rated based upon application date)

To apply as MLS Only, one must have, and maintain, Primary membership in another Realtor Association. Yearly dues are paid through the Primary Association, and you would not pay any Yearly Dues here. This membership provides access to the MLS only. You would not be a member of the Association, which means you would not have voting rights, could not be on Association Committees, and would pay the “non-member” rate for any Association functions.

Yearly Dues : $0

As managing broker, your membership type will determine what your licensees membership types can be. For example, if you are MLS Only, your agents can only join as MLS Only. If you are Secondary, your agents can join as Primary, Secondary or MLS Only (provided they have and maintain Primary membership elsewhere in the cases of Secondary and MLS Only).

Not everyone in your office must join. Those who opt-out of membership will need be placed On Waiver. The only way to qualify to be On Waiver is to have and maintain membership in a different MLS. Each Waiver applicant must provide a letter of good standing from the Association where they obtain their MLS access. The Managing Broker (MB) will sign on behalf of all Waiver Applicants that they will follow and maintain our rules. If a Waiver applicant is in violation of the rules, the MB is responsible for any and all sanctions.

Waiver Applicants cannot place ANY listing in RARMLS under an agent that is a subscriber of RARMLS. Waiver Applicants may not use RARMLS, directly or indirectly in any manner whatsoever. Waiver Applicants cannot be a member of a real estate “Team” where one or more of the team members are subscribers of RARMLS. (Please see Waiver Application for the full list of rules.)

The MB will be liable for any and all violations of the Waiver Applicant. Fines may be assessed up to $1,300.00. Please review the fine structure and full list of rules before signing our full agreement to the Waiver Application rules.
